ABOUT OUR COURSES

Our courses are offered in two semesters with the main enrolment periods at the beginning of the year and mid-year (June-July).

Courses vary greatly and change from semester to semester as members decide to share their special knowledge with others. Courses may include lifestyle and practical skills, musical, theatrical, literary, artistic, cinematic, scientific, physical activities, environmental and historical interests, as well as discussions of current affairs.

Outings, trips and social events are also held from time to time.

Courses are published online, prior to each enrolment period, where the most up-to-date information can be found.  A printed Course Booklet will be sent to all financial members.

Courses fill quickly so you are strongly advised to become a financial member either before December or June so that you can apply for courses as soon as the enrolment period opens.

Members with email addresses should enrol online as this is the most efficient method. If you cannot access the internet, other enrolment options are advised with the course booklet.  You may enrol online at any time or apply directly to the leader if the class has started, is open and has available places.

Courses are run over various periods weekly or fortnightly, generally for about 2 hours.  A Forum is completed on a single day.  Most courses operate during the week in the daytime, although occasionally courses are also held on the weekend.
